The 2 Tier Circle of Learning creates a direct exchange between the core RESIN cities of Bilbao, Bratislava, Manchester and Paris and other European cities. The aim of the tier-2 is to foster two-way learning between the Project Consortium and the tier-2 cities.

The 17 tier-2 cities will:

  • Learn about the project tools and give input for their final development;
  • Have a direct exchange with the tier-1 cities and with the other project partners on their experiences with regard to climate resilience;
  • Obtain training on how to use the tools developed by the project;
  • Support the project in further disseminating its results.

4 city groups will be formed. These are:

Padua - Alba - Almada - Zadar

Burgas - Vilnius - Radom - Sfantu Gheorghe

Greater Manchester

Lahti - Newcastle - Reykjavík - Ghent - Nijmegen

London - Athens - Warsaw - Strasbourg

Local research institutions

Each of the cities is accompanied in the testing by a local consultancy or university that is also one of the project partners: School of Engineering of the City of Paris (EIVP), the University of Manchester, Comenius University of Bratislava, Tecnalia and the Basque Centre for Climate Change. This partnership will allow researchers to closely study and collaborate with the city partners, co-creating practical and immediately-applicable tools and materials.
